The International Aikido Federation Gender Balance working group presents its first up-coming event in spring 2017. On the 12th of March, Arnhem, a beautiful city in the eastern part of Nederland, will host a seminar, a forum and a leadership workshop for promoting the gender equality.

AN Gender Day IAF

Ladies from Slovenian, Swiss and Dutch Aikikai will be on the panel of this inter-European event. The audience will perceive the stories of women who have been engaged in Aikido on and around the tatami.

Satomi Ishikawa and Caroline Bied-Charreton from Aikido Nederland (AN), joined by Renata Jocic from Switzerland Aikikai, will be the teachers of the seminar that will take place on the Gender Day. Anita Paalvast from Aikido In Company Foundation will coordinate a leadership workshop as she has a large experience in supporting managers and teams to enhance their effectiveness and impact in communication.

Afterwards, Jose Otte and Cathrien de Pater from AN, and Stasa Pisek from Slovenian Aikikai, will present their visions in the forum that is to take place in the afternoon.

The event is supported by Aikido Nederland and it is held under the auspices of the International Aikido Federation.
