A New SkillAi Event

Aikikai Slovenia will host the third SkillAi event in a few days. Several teen aikidoka and teachers will join the seminar and meeting on the 11th of January 2020.

SkillAi Project is a collaboration between Slovenian, Dutch and Hungarian Aikido organizations. It addresses the topic of promoting education through sport with special focus on providing young people with the tools for dealing with aggression and bullying.

The goal of SkillAi project is developing methodology of Aikido as a tool for skills development for children with fewer opportunities.

The event this January will be in the city of Ljubljana, Vodovodna street 25, code 1000, Slovenia and will consist of two parts.

The first one will be the Children Seminar, from 10 to 12 in the morning. The trainers will be Gergő Pasqualetti and Sándor Karaszi from Hungary, Jurgen Schildkamp and Christiaan Kuliman from Nederland, Staša Pisek and Aljoša Prelog from Slovenia. The aim of the seminar is to test and analyse prototype training modules, presented by each partner.

The second part will be the Meeting of SkillAi group, from 2 to 5 in the afternoon. The aim of the meeting is a general overview of the SkillAi project activities in 2019 and defining the structure of the modules/use cases to be included in the Guidelines.

During the past year, the project facilitated 80 Aikido trainings in each project country and carried 2 international youth seminars between the partners. At the end of the project, an online manual is to be produced, offering open access to international Aikido community. This project is cofunded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
