Happy birthday to Hombu Dojo-cho!

Mitsuteru Ueshiba was born on the 27th of June 1981, in Tokyo.

He is the son of the present Doshu, Moriteru Ueshiba, and the great-grandson of O-Sensei, Morihei Ueshiba, the Founder of Aikido.

He started to practice Aikido at the age of 3, under the instruction of his grandfather, Kisshomaru Ueshiba, the second Doshu.

After graduating Toyo University, he has been on the staff of Aikikai. In 2016, he was appointed Directing Manager of Aikikai Foundation.
