ULA-IAF Working Group
UNION LATINOAMERICANA DE AIKIDO, ULAIAF
Se fundo en Colombia el año de 2019 por iniciativa de la IAF en cabeza de su Chairman Kei Izawa Sensei, y con la presencia del Shihan Wilko Vriesman Secretario General de la IAF y la participación inicial de representantes de países como: Jorge Rojo Shihan de Chile, Nelson Requena Shihan de Venezuela, German Santamaria Sensei de Colombia y Juan Alberto Carrizo de Argentina.
La función principal de la ULAIAF es ser y crear una plataforma para ampliar y fortalecer la huella de la Fundación AIKIKAI y la Federación Internacional de Aikido (IAF) en el continente americano, en especial Latinoamérica.
La ULAIAF cuenta a la fecha del 2021 con 12 países miembros: Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brasil, Venezuela, Colombia, Perú, Bolivia, Panamá, Costa Rica, Cuba y México.
ULAIAF tiene además dos importantes grupos de trabajo:
ULAIAF Juventud, enfocado en la enseñanza, didáctica, metodología y pedagogía del Aikido Aikikai hacia la niñez de la América Latina. Este grupo esta liderado por Rafael Chayres Sensei de México (youth-ula@aikido-international.org).
ULAIAF Equidad de Género, Enfocado en un trabajo de igualdad, equilibrio y libertad entre los practicantes de Aikido Aikikai de américa latina. Este grupo es liderado por la Sensei Laura Copello de Argentina (lauraula-gwg@aikido-international.org)
Visión
Diferentes países, del continente americano, comparten la misma pasión por el Aikido en un espíritu de unión, difundiendo valores morales y propagando las enseñanzas de O'Sensei para un mundo mejor donde reinen la paz y la armonía y la unión.
Misión
- Identificar, seleccionar, ayudar y recomendar nuevas organizaciones de Aikido en Latinoamérica que sean elegibles para unirse a la Fundación AIKIKAI y la IAF;
- Reforzar y apoyar a las organizaciones miembros de Aikido IAF en sus respectivos países;
- Reunir, alinear y agrupar a las organizaciones de Aikido en torno a los buenos valores morales;
- Crear una sinergia entre las organizaciones de Aikido para promover y propagar el Aikido de manera sólida.

It was founded in Colombia in 2019 at the initiative of the IAF at the head of its Chairman Kei Izawa Sensei, and with the presence of Shihan Wilko Vriesman Secretary General of the IAF and the initial participation of representatives of countries such as: Jorge Rojo Shihan from Chile , Nelson Requena Shihan from Venezuela, German Santamaria Sensei from Colombia and Juan Alberto Carrizo from Argentina.
The main function of the ULAIAF is to be and create a platform to expand and strengthen the footprint of the AIKIKAI Foundation and the International Aikido Federation (IAF) in the American continent, especially Latin America.
ULAIAF has 12 member countries as of 2021: Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Panama, Costa Rica, Cuba and Mexico.
ULAIAF also has two important working groups:
ULAIAF Youth, focused on the teaching, didactics, methodology and pedagogy of Aikido Aikikai towards children in Latin America. This group is led by Rafael Chayres Sensei from Mexico (youth-ula@aikido-international.org).
ULAIAF Gender Equity, Focused on a work of equality, balance and freedom among Aikido Aikikai practitioners from Latin America. This group is led by Sensei Laura Copello from Argentina (lauraula-gwg@aikido-international.org).
Vision
Different countries of the American continent share the same passion for Aikido in a spirit of union, spreading moral values and spreading the teachings of O'Sensei for a better world where peace and harmony and union reign.
Mission
- Identify, select, assist and recommend new Aikido organizations in Latin America that are eligible to join the AIKIKAI Foundation and the IAF;
- Strengthen and support IAF Aikido member organizations in their respective countries;
- Assemble, align and group Aikido organizations around good moral values;
- Create a synergy between Aikido organizations to promote and propagate Aikido in a solid way.
